The opening hole at Green Tree is a par 5 dogleg right. Number one requires a well placed tee shot to get home in two shots. Trees protect the left and right hand side of the fairway. The green has a grass bunker left and water behind. Three safe shots make for an easy par.

Number two is a part four, 323 yards hole requiring accuracy off the tee due to trees bordering the fairway right and left. Avoid the large bunker in the front right and your approach as it’s steep face will require a delicate shot to a green that slopes away from you.

The third hole is one of the only Par 6’s in the Northeast. Your tee shot is 275 yards from the creek that runs two-thirds of the fairway from the left. A long iron, hybrid or fairway wood will decide wheather you go for the green in three or four shots. The wide green is open in the front, but bunkers protect the right, back and left for any stray shots.

The short par 3 forth requires a precise pitch over a water hazard with woods guarding the green back and left.

Driveable for many players, number five calls for a tee shot over water. There are no bunkers on this hole but the green slopes back to front and is guarded by a large bern across the front.

Some might consider this another driveable par 4 at 250 yards from the white tees but the hole doglegs slightly left around a large Oak and the green is guarded right fron by a pond. The safer route is a layup short right of the green then an easy pitch to this fair size green.

The second par three on the front features a large green guarded right front by a pond. Golfers need to take care that they take enough club to carry the water hazard – depending on the pin position, long is better than short here.

Number eight is a challenging mid-length par four. The tee shot is blind and slightly uphill. Favouring the right center of the fairway your tee shot needs to be strong because your second requires a carry over water to a green bulkheaded in front. The front half of the green is pitched sharply from back to front.

The last hole on the front nine is a strong par four requiring a tee shot that must carry over a pond. The somewhat crowned green is guarded by water left and bunkers right and behind. Water behind should not come into play.

Ten is mid-lenght par three with water guarding the front but well short of the green. There are abundant chipping areas around this green from which you can make a good up and down.

The eleventh hole is a 268 par four dogleg left with trees guarding both sides of the fairway. The green is slightly elevated and pitched back to front. A draw off the tee is ideal, leaving a short pitch.

Challenging for a short hole, number twelve doglegs slightly right with a large oak and water guarding the right side. There is a generous landing area left, however, a precise pitch to a flat green is required.

Another driveable par four at 229 yards, the thirteenth hole includes trouble on the right and the possibility of being blocked out by trees from the green should your tee shot stray too far left. The green is also guarded by water on the left leaving an accurate long iron or fairway wood tee shot the best option for the more cautious player.

One of Green Tree’s most challenging holes at 370 yards, number fourteen requires a long tee shot to a fairway sloping toward a creek running down the entire right side of the fairway. Once safly in the fairway your approach must ‘slit the uprights’ formed by two large Oaks guarding the approach to the deep green. Avoid the water guarding the green right.

Another mid lenght par three, fifteen green is guarded by water at the right front in a bulk-headed pond. The green is receptive, however, pitching slightly from back to front.

Sixteen doglegs to the right with a generous landing area though there is water along the right side of the fairway. A bunker left guards the green but it is wide open in the front providing for a run up approach.

This 90 degree dogleg left requires a tee shot 190 to 210 yards to the center of the fairway. Your left with a short iron to a green guarded by water short right and behind as well as a bunker left.

The home hole at Green Tree is a 440 yard par five, reachable in two by longer hitters. The tee shot must carry the water coming in from the right. The approach to the green is well protected by water left and a series of bunkers right.
